Засновник школи — Юрій Васільєв, українсько-американський DJ із понад 20-річним міжнародним досвідом, який виступав у клубах Європи та США.

Юрію, ваша школа стрімко набирає популярність у Флориді. Чому саме цей штат став місцем для створення такого амбітного проекту?

Флорида — один із найактивніших музичних регіонів США. Тут щодня проходять сотні заходів: клубні вечірки, приватні івенти, заходи в готелях, на яхтах, у барах і ресторанах. Це місце, де музика — частина ритму життя.

Я бачив, що попит на професійних DJ постійно зростає, але якісних виконавців не вистачає. У більшості новачків багато теорії, але мало реальної практики. Тому я вирішив створити школу, яка навчає швидко, ефективно та з повним зануренням.
Флорида — найкраще місце для старту, бо наші студенти можуть почати працювати практично відразу після завершення курсу.

Ваш 10-годинний курс став справжнім проривом у DJ-навчанні. У чому секрет такої швидкої та результативної підготовки студентів?

Мій підхід базується на досвіді. За 20 років роботи я бачив сотні початківців і точно знаю: успіх не приходить від багатотижневої теорії, а від практики, практики й ще раз практики. Кожна хвилина курсу — це робота з пультом, де студент повністю розбирається в обладнанні, освоює техніки зведення, вчиться формувати сет, тренує ритм і слух, відпрацьовує сцени «клуб», «бар», «приватна вечірка».

Курс побудований так, щоб після 10 годин студент уже мав готовий сет і вмів поводитися як професійний DJ, не боявся користуватись апаратурою та правильно налаштовував обладнання.

“DJing is a Profession of the New Era.” Interview with Yurii Vasiliev, founder of Moneyphestor DJ School in Florida

In 2025, Moneyphestor DJ School opened in Miami — a new generation school focused on practice, quick results, and a modern approach to the DJ profession. The school’s founder is Yurii Vasiliev, a Ukrainian-American DJ with over 20 years of international experience who has performed in clubs across Europe and the US.

We spoke with Yurii about why his school has become a unique phenomenon in Florida, who comes to study there, and why the “10 hours to a career” format works.

Yurii, your school is rapidly gaining popularity in Florida. Why did you choose this state as the location for such an ambitious project?

Florida is one of the most active music regions in the US. Hundreds of events take place here every day: club parties, private events, events in hotels, on yachts, in bars, and restaurants. It’s a place where music is part of the rhythm of life.

I saw that the demand for professional DJs was constantly growing, but there was a shortage of quality performers. Most beginners have a lot of theory but little real practice. That’s why I decided to create a school that teaches quickly, effectively, and with full immersion.

Florida is the best place to start because our students can start working almost immediately after completing the course.

Your 10-hour course has become a real breakthrough in DJ training. What is the secret to such fast and effective student training?

My approach is based on experience. In 20 years of work, I have seen hundreds of beginners and I know for sure: success does not come from weeks of theory, but from practice, practice, and more practice. Every minute of the course is spent working with the console, where students fully understand the equipment, master mixing techniques, learn to form a set, train their rhythm and hearing, and practice “club,” “bar,” and “private party” scenes.

The course is designed so that after 10 hours, students already have a ready-made set and know how to behave like a professional DJ, are not afraid to use the equipment, and can set it up correctly.

Who are the most common students at Moneyphestor DJ School today? What kind of audience chooses your training?

People of all ages and experience levels study at the school. These include:

– teenagers who are just starting out in music,

– adults who want to change careers,

– experienced DJs who want to take their skills to the next level,
